SYNOPSIS

The relationship between America, and the lives lost in her name, is complex and nuanced.  From the not-so-Civil War to the World Trade Center, HOW TO MOURN AN AMERICAN chronicles our conversation with death, loss, and the struggle to keep the flame of liberty (in all its forms) alive. Playing nearly a dozen separate characters, writer/performer Cherrye J. Davis developed this work at the Public Theater and the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center.
